Books:
All robot builders must have certain information tools. That is why you should always leave room in your workshop for a little robot library. You can even program your robot to dust the books off periodically.
Having information at arm's length that you can locate quickly  can be a life saver. In fact, keep this book close at hand, read it often and recommend it to your friends.

  • Mobile Robots:Inspiration to Implementation by Joseph L.Jones,Anita M.Flynn,Bruce A.Seiger(published by A.K.Peters Ltd.)
  • Build your Own Robot! By Karl Lunt(published by A.K.Peters Ltd.)
  • Robot Builder’s Bonanza by Gordon McComb(published by McGraw-Hill/TAB Electronics)
  • Getting  Started in Electronics by  Forrest Mims III(Published by Radio Shack Corp.)
As you work on ever more sophisticated robots, manuals and software language tutorials will help you expand your knowledge.
Visit a discount or used bookstore in your area to look for books you might need. The Internet is also a good, inexpensive source for information. You might also try the library or borrow books from a friend.
Magazines have information about current robotic trends and new robot kits that's usually more up to date than what you find in books.
